He uses his blog, and twitter to mass his young followers into attacking people and it is not the first time. Andrew Hyde represents the bully culture in social media who want to control society and he attempted just that this week. Lying and cheating are his methods . Community domination his goal.
Trada raises the Bar: city legal clarification StartUp Boulder
UPDATE 10:53 Tuesday May 13 2011 Trada Marketing executive Bill Quinn called Boulder Channel 1 News this morning to personally invite Boulder Channel 1 to Boulder StartUp opening party on Wednesday night and to any other Start Up events held at Trada. Quinn also, personally invited CEO Jann Scott. Quinn said that he and Trada, a pay for click ad house and a recent startup itself, see themselves as a company who want to help promote business startups in Boulder. He also credited Boulder Channel 1 as news media covering Boulder news. He said that the confusion around what Boulder Startup said and any unnamed press person at Trada needed to be cleared up and to put to rest any confusion on where Trada stood. (so it looks like we’ll be going after all) Trada is a major sponsor of Startup Boulder.
Trada represents the second large company who contacted Boulder Channel 1 this morning ensuring we had access to Start up Boulder Events held at the business offices. Earlier Metzger and associates wrote saying that their event was open to Jann Scott and Boulder Channel 1.
In addition Sarah Huntley with the City of Boulder called with a clarification from the city attornys office and said Andrew 
Hyde and StartUp boulder could not keep anyone from Farmers market, Open Space, out of any city sponsored event, or from any public party held in a private business during business hours. That would include all restaurants, coffee houses or offices. This then dispels any of Startup Boulder Weeks notions to ban the public or media from public events being held in our fair city. She sad too, that where there were 2 or more city council members present, the public and press must be allowed to attend no matter where the event is held. Huntley also said she thought this amounted to no more than a pissing match between Andrew Hyde and Jann Scott .
8:00 am Boulder police check for alcohol permits. Some events may be shut down for no alcohol permits. As reported here last week Start Up Boulder which begins Wednesday is not exactly what its promoter Andrew Hyde claims it to be and that has gotten him into some trouble with the city, police and news media.
The 3 days of events were promoted as a public business non-conference to coincide with the White House Start Up America which launched this month. But 18 of the 38 events were mostly drinking events open to the public held in non drinking venues without proper permits. Any public drinking event held in a private business where underage children will be present must follow city and state code.
Each public drinking event must have a permit to sell or serve alcohol. It must have a staging area where alcohol is served, someone who is not drinking checks ID’s and food. If anyone under 21 is served or sold alcohol they are subject to the same laws as any liquor establishment including arrest, jail and $10,000 in fines. Boulder Police are investigating each company putting on a drinking event without a permit and it is likely that they will be shut down.
Andrew Hyde told Boulder Channel 1 news in an email that these events were indeed public and” ticketed.” But Hyde himself may be ticketed before the event gets off the ground.
Trada a downtown internet pay for click house” is hosting the opening drinking party as well as other drinking events. Trada did not return phone calls about their permit situation.
In another developing story related to Start Up Boulder Week, Andrew Hyde told Boulder Channel 1 News that even though this was a public event that he was going to censor press coverage of the event and attendance by the public. That of course is discrimination as well. In his blog yesterday Hyde went on to publicly state his illegal activities.
Hydes actions were prompted by his dislike of Boulder Channel Ones Jann Scott. He singled Scott out in an email Friday and said that he was going to censor and discriminate against him and Boulder Channel One. This then led to an exchange of emails where Hyde insisted on discrimination and censorship and Scott insisted he would not stand for it. Hyde then wrote in his blog yesterday Blaming Scott for everything , saying he felt bullied and that he wanted to leave Boulder and not produce any more events.
The City of Boulder which had a planned event at Atlas Purvey for the city council and Start Up Boulder will likely cancel in light of censorship and discrimination charges.
Trada unnamed press person told Boulder channel 1 News in an email that it would abide by censorship and discrimination.
Chris the owner of Atlas Purveyor said he did not know what was planned and had no comment on discrimination and censorship, but then said he didn’t know if it was up to him who he let in.
John Metzger of Metzger and Associates who have an event planned told us the press and anyone is welcome to attend his event. He would not be involved in censorship and discrimination. His company then made a point of saying they would never honor such a request. Which begs the question; What is Andrew Hyde thinking?? or not thinking.
Hyde is also trying to prohibit people from going to Farmers market and Mount Sanitas. Farmers market administrators laughed at him. But the city Parks and rec department weren’t so amused when they learned he had 47 people signed up for a hike without permit. Last week a running group received a municipal ticket for staging a similar event with over 40 people with out permit.
Some people involved think Start Up Boulder Week is becoming an elitist event not open at all to the community.
Others are concerned that Hydes rift with the public and the media will hurt Start Up Boulder.

Boulder County It seemed like just yesterday when the entire Boulder city council condemned Jann Scott, his blog and his TV show as a terrorist threat to the community.( He made fun of them on TV nightly) In November of 2007 they shut down Scotts’ cable outlet in order to shut him up. ( Jann also, made fun of every sacred institution in Boulder.) They then created channel 22 which they put under heavy censorship control. They then handed it over to the Boulder Valley School District to run along with a one man maintenance contractor who have all quit or been fired since 2007. The job doesn’t pay so no one wants the head ache of running a TV channel and putting up with the city .(The contractors also had to put up with Janns constant criticism. He drove them and the city crazy.)
