Police release sketch of theft suspect
Boulder police are asking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man accused of stealing a woman’s wallet, phone and keys in the area of 11th and Pearl streets at about 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, April 11.The victim reported that she’d been out with friends at the Round Midnight bar earlier in the evening and danced with a man, who she believes is friends with the suspect. Sometime later, she and her friends left the bar and were standing outside near11th and Pearl when the suspect approached her and gave her a hug. While he had his arms around her, he stole her belongings. The suspect ran north on 11th and then headed east on Spruce Street.
The victim described the suspect as a Hispanic male, clean-shaven, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was wearing a black and white checkered shirt and blue jeans. A composite sketch is attached to this release.
